SMARANA for Special Needs is a nonprofit organization to help children and adults with moderate to severe mental and developmental challenges, including Microcephaly and Autism. We hope to help individuals attain their optimum potential by providing quality housing and clinical services in state of the art facilities and provide them with loving homes.
This organization has been formed and is being run by a team of NRIs spread all over the world.
Shashi Airi, the founder or SMARANA for Special Needs, has personally met with many parents with autistic children who have all shared a common fear: Who would care for their children when they could no longer do so?
From this concern, SMARANA for Special Needs was born.
SMARANA for Special Needs is guided by one principle: people with mental and developmental disabilities, including Microcephaly and Autism, have the same rights as anyone else to experience a fulfilling and meaningful life. At SMARANA for Special Needs, individuals with such challenges will be respected as individuals and given the freedom, responsibility, and opportunity to face and meet all of life’s challenges. SMARANA for Special Needs will provide the physical and emotional support that every individual needs.
